Who is Jerry Thomas?

Like everyone, I am both simple and extremely complex, depending on who you ask and when. The simple side… I am living in the same city I grew up in, ah… all those years ago. I spent time in the U.S. Navy, and went to art college when I got out.

The more complex side… I could have been issued a middle name something like “Imaginative, because I have had my hand in everything from oil painting… never had the talent really, but loved it, to playing the violin. Never had the talent for that either. I did have a propensity for graphic design, but my creative juices settled on “novelist,” and here I am.

I have been writing my stories from an early age. I love to weave a story together that has the power to keep my readers on the edge of their seat, leaving them unable to stop turning the page. I also love to be able to produce an ending that they did not see coming

Like I said, though, there is a lot more complexity to this novelist than I have room or care to write here… But to find out who Jerry Thomas the author really is can best be discovered by asking…

What is in Jerry’s Heart?

The Scripture, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:21) has been, for years, a leading factor for what I will allow my heart to get excited about.

What excites my heart to sit down and take the time to write a novel are two things: First is my love for God, because He first loved me by giving His Son Jesus that I would have life. In Psalms 37:4 I read, “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.” The second thing that excites me is my passion to reach out, lending a hand to my brothers and sisters in Christ.

In today’s world I see more pain and issues that take so many Christians away from living out that follow Me part of Christianity. By God’s grace my novels are filled with excitement, intrigue, interest, and maybe even some mystery, to create what can be labeled as a “good read.” But most importantly, the characters in my novels are generated to represent “us.” My stories are put together to shine a bright light on a path that can lead “us” back where following Christ is exciting again.

Life is good anywhere, but my wife Marilyn and I do enjoy visiting Florida.
